नसतं प्रतिजग्राह नैषादिरिति चिन्तयन्‌ | शिष्यं धनुषि धर्मज्ञस्तेषामेवान्ववेक्षया

na satam pratijagrāha naiṣādir iti cintayan | śiṣyaṃ dhanuṣi dharmajñas teṣām evānvavekṣayā ||

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「彼はニシャーダの子である」と思い、法を知る正しき師は、弓術の正統な弟子として彼を受け入れなかった。クル族のうちカウラヴァらの利のみを見据えて、師はそのように振る舞ったのである。
