Transliteration

samīkṣamāṇaḥ sa tu tāṃ vayaḥsthāṃ tanuvāsasam | tasya kāmaḥ pravavṛdhe gahane 'gnir ivodgataḥ ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。薄衣をまとった若き女を見やるや、パーンドゥの胸に欲望が燃え上がった――それは、深い森に忽然と立ちのぼる野火のごとくであった。
