Adhyāya 123 — Droṇa’s Pedagogy: Arjuna’s Preeminence, Ekalavya’s Self-Training, and the Bhāsa-Lakṣya Trial

नीतिमन्तं महात्मानमादित्यसमतेजसम्‌ । दुराधर्ष क्रियावन्तमतीवाद्भुतदर्शनम्‌

nītimantaṃ mahātmānam ādityasamatejasam | durādharṣaṃ kriyāvantam atīvādbhuta-darśanam ||

シャクラ(インドラ)は授けられる子をこう語った。正しい政道と義をわきまえ、広大な魂をもつ英雄で、その輝きは太陽に等しい。誰にも屈せず、行いにおいて精力的で、姿かたちはこの上なく驚異に満ちる—倫理の見識と力、そして吉祥なる卓越を備えた、理想の王者の器である。
