क्र एकविशर्त्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: पाण्डुका कुन्तीको समझाना और कुन्तीका पतिकी आज्ञासे पुत्रोत्पत्तिके लिये धर्मदेवताका आवाहन करनेके लिये उद्यत होना वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुक्तस्तया राजा तां देवीं पुनरब्रवीत् । धर्मविद् धर्मसंयुक्तमिदं वचनमुत्तमम्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! कुन्तीके यों कहनेपर धर्मज्ञ राजा पाण्डुने देवी कुन्तीसे पुनः यह धर्मयुक्त बात कही
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktas tayā rājā tāṃ devīṃ punar abravīt | dharmavid dharmasaṃyuktam idaṃ vacanam uttamam ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。彼女がそのように述べ終えると、王はその高貴なる妃に再び言葉を向け、ダルマに根ざし、ダルマを知る者にふさわしい最上の言を告げた。物語は道義に枠づけられた教示へと移り、夫の命に従ってクンティーが行動することが、正しく、ダルマにより認められたものとして整えられてゆく。
