Suta Goswami (narrating the Linga-Puja/दान context to the sages at Naimisharanya)
It defines the ideal completeness (sarva-sampatti) of offerings—grains, essences, metals, and jewels—symbolizing total surrender of worldly resources to Pati (Shiva) in Linga-puja and dana.
By implying that all categories of value—food, vitality-essences, metals, and gems—find their consecration in relation to Shiva, it points to Shiva as Pati, the supreme ground in which all material excellences are offered and purified for the uplift of the pashu.
Ritualistically, it supports dana and upachara in Linga-puja using wholesome, complete materials; yogically, it teaches aparigraha in spirit—transforming possessions into worship so pāśa (bondage) is weakened rather than reinforced.
