Adhyaya 84: शिवव्रतकथनम्
Uma–Maheshvara Vrata, Shula-dana, and Month-wise Ekabhakta Vrata

sarvaratnasamāyuktaṃ pratiṣṭhāpya yathāvidhi sthāpayetparameśasya bhavasyāyatane śubhe
Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva-puja and Linga-pratiṣṭhā procedures to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
It stresses that Linga-pratiṣṭhā must be done strictly by śāstra-vidhi and placed in an auspicious Shiva-sanctum, making the worship a proper conduit for grace (anugraha) rather than mere ornamentation.
By calling him Parameśa and Bhava, the verse points to Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord whose presence sanctifies the āyatana and who grants upliftment to the pashu (soul) bound by pāśa (bondage).
The highlighted practice is Linga-pratiṣṭhā (consecratory installation) performed yathāvidhi; in Shaiva Siddhanta terms, correct ritual action supports purification and receptivity to Shiva’s liberating grace.
