満月の日、先に説かれた儀礼をシャルヴァ—シャンブ(主シヴァ)のために修したのち、婆羅門たちにも食を施すべきである。とりわけ貧しくともヴェーダに通暁する者たちに。
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
It links Linga/Śiva-pūjā to dāna and anna-sevā: after completing the prescribed Śiva-rite, feeding qualified Brāhmaṇas is presented as an integral limb of worship that helps loosen pasha (bondage) and orient the pashu (soul) toward Pati (Śiva).
By naming Śiva as Śarva and Śaṃbhu, it emphasizes his dual function in Śaiva Siddhānta terms: he removes impurities/obstructions (mala and karmic knots) and bestows auspicious welfare and inner peace, guiding the soul toward liberation.
A Paurṇamāsī observance: perform the previously taught Śiva-pūjā/vidhi and then offer bhojana (food-gift) to Brāhmaṇas—especially poor Veda-knowers—treating charity and service as a practical extension of devotion and discipline.
