Suta Goswami (narrating the Purana to the sages of Naimisharanya; describing yogic inner physiology within the Linga Purana’s Shaiva framework)
It links outer Linga-puja with inner worship: the yogin kindles the inner vahni that gathers prāṇa through the nāḍīs, making the body a fit vessel for devotion to Pati (Shiva).
By presenting an all-pervading, many-channelled ‘fire’ that operates from every side, it hints at Shiva’s governance as Pati—subtly ordering the energies that move within the pashu while remaining beyond them.
Subtle-body discipline centered on nāḍī-flow and inner heat (vahni)—a Pashupata-aligned yogic contemplation where prāṇa is gathered and regulated rather than dispersed.
