मानसोपरि माहेन्द्री प्राच्यां मेरोः पुरी स्थिता दक्षिणे भानुपुत्रस्य वरुणस्य च वारुणी

Transliteration

mānasopari māhendrī prācyāṃ meroḥ purī sthitā dakṣiṇe bhānuputrasya varuṇasya ca vāruṇī

Translation

（マーナサ湖）の上方、東には、メール（メル）山の都マーヘーンドリーがある。南にはヴァールニーがあり、それはヴァルナと、またバーヌの子に属する。かくして神聖なる方位と、その主たる住処が示される。
