Suta Goswami
It introduces a catalog of Śiva-presided sacred sites, implying that approaching such sthānas supports Linga-centered devotion and purification of the paśu (individual soul) under the grace of the Pati.
Śiva is presented as Śrīkaṇṭha who ‘presides’ (adhiṣṭhita) over holy seats—signaling His immanent guidance and protective sovereignty as Pati, accessible through consecrated space and worship.
Pilgrimage to Shiva-sthānas and attentive śravaṇa (listening to the sacred account) are emphasized as preparatory disciplines that support Pashupata-oriented purification and devotion.
