Secondary Creation Begins: Brahmā’s Productions, the Guṇas, and the Emergence of Orders of Beings
ye marīcy-ādayo viprā yas tu svāyambhuvo manuḥ te vai brahmaṇa ādeśāt katham etad abhāvayan
This verse shows that creation proceeds through empowered progenitors (like Marīci and Manu) who, under Brahmā’s instruction, contemplate and arrange how manifestation should unfold.
They represent key agents of progeny and order—great sages and Manu—who cooperate under Brahmā’s direction to expand population and establish dharma in the developing universe.
Like the sages who first reflect and then act under higher guidance, one can seek scriptural counsel, consult wise teachers, and proceed thoughtfully rather than impulsively when making major life decisions.
