The Slaying of Hiraṇyākṣa and the Triumph of Varāha
tāṁ sa āpatatīṁ vīkṣya bhagavān samavasthitaḥ jagrāha līlayā prāptāṁ garutmān iva pannagīm
This verse shows Bhagavān standing unshaken and catching the attacker with ease—His victory is natural and effortless, like Garuḍa seizing a serpent.
Garuḍa is famed for overpowering serpents; the comparison highlights how the Lord’s supremacy makes even a fierce assault insignificant.
It teaches steadiness and faith: when one takes shelter of Bhagavān, fear and opposition are ultimately powerless before His protection.
