Diti’s Puṁsavana Vow, Indra’s Intervention, and the Birth of the Maruts
evaṁ śuśrūṣitas tāta bhagavān kaśyapaḥ striyā prahasya parama-prīto ditim āhābhinandya ca
This verse shows that attentive service (śuśrūṣā) brings genuine pleasure to a saintly person like Kaśyapa, leading to affectionate approval and favorable words.
Because Diti had served him properly and attentively; being satisfied with her conduct, Kaśyapa responded with warmth, blessing, and spoken approval.
Serve elders, teachers, and family with sincerity and consistency—listening carefully, helping without ego, and following guidance—so relationships become purified and blessings naturally arise.
