śrī-śuka uvāca nābhir apatya-kāmo ’prajayā merudevyā bhagavantaṁ yajña-puruṣam avahitātmāyajata.

シュリー・シュカデーヴァは語った—子を望んだナービ王は、その時まだ子のなかった妃メルデーヴィーとともに、心を専一にして、祭祀の主ヤジュニャ・プルシャであるバガヴァーン・ヴィシュヌを礼拝した。
