दर्शयामास तं देवी प्रसन्ना वरदास्मि ते । इत्युक्त: स्वमभिप्रायं शशंसावनतो नृप: ॥ ३ ॥
darśayām āsa taṁ devī prasannā varadāsmi te ity uktaḥ svam abhiprāyaṁ śaśaṁsāvanato nṛpaḥ
やがて母なるガンガー女神が満足して現れ、「汝に望むままの恩寵を授けよう」と告げた。そう語りかけられた王は頭を垂れて礼拝し、自らの願いを申し述べた。
The King’s desire was to deliver his forefathers, who had been burnt to ashes because of disrespecting Kapila Muni.
