bhagīrathaḥ sa rājarṣir ninye bhuvana-pāvanīm yatra sva-pitṝṇāṁ dehā bhasmībhūtāḥ sma śerate

聖王バギーラタは、諸世界を清めるガンガーを、祖先の遺骸が焼かれて灰となり横たわるその地へと導いた。
