Genealogies from Yayāti’s Sons to the Yadu Dynasty; Romapāda–Ṛṣyaśṛṅga; Kārtavīryārjuna; and the Rise of Yādava Branches
jayadhvajāt tālajaṅghas tasya putra-śataṁ tv abhūt kṣatraṁ yat tālajaṅghākhyam aurva-tejopasaṁhṛtam
They were a kṣatriya lineage descending from Jayadhvaja through Tālajaṅgha, described in Bhagavatam 9.23.28.
This verse states that the kṣatriya line called the Tālajaṅghas was ended by the spiritual potency (tejas) of the sage Aurva.
Power and lineage are temporary; lasting welfare comes from dharma and humility before higher spiritual authority.
