कालषेयं पुरोधाय तुरं तुरगमेधषाट् । समन्तात् पृथिवीं सर्वां जित्वा यक्ष्यति चाध्वरै: ॥ ३७ ॥
kālaṣeyaṁ purodhāya turaṁ turaga-medhaṣāṭ samantāt pṛthivīṁ sarvāṁ jitvā yakṣyati cādhvaraiḥ
カラシャの子トゥーラを祭司として迎え、ジャナメージャヤは四方の大地を征服し、多くのアシュヴァメーダ供犠を執り行う。ゆえに彼は「トゥラガ・メーダシャート」として知られる。
This verse describes a king renowned for expertise in the aśvamedha who, after conquering the earth, performs Vedic sacrifices as an act of worship, showing the connection between royal duty and sacrificial devotion.
