Dynasty of Kṣatravṛddha: Kāśi Kings, Dhanvantari, Rajī’s Sons, and the Transition to Nahuṣa
गुरुणा हूयमानेऽग्नौ बलभित् तनयान् रजे: । अवधीद् भ्रंशितान् मार्गान्न कश्चिदवशेषित: ॥ १५ ॥
guruṇā hūyamāne ’gnau balabhit tanayān rajeḥ avadhīd bhraṁśitān mārgān na kaścid avaśeṣitaḥ
その後、 देवたちの師ブリハスパティは火中に供物を捧げ、ラジーの息子たちがダルマの道から堕ちるようにした。堕落した彼らを、バラを打ち破るインドラは容易く討ち、ひとりも生き残らなかった。
This verse states that Indra destroyed them after they were diverted from the proper path (dharma), indicating that deviation from righteous conduct led to their downfall and enabled Indra to eliminate them completely.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating these events to Mahārāja Parīkṣit in the Ninth Canto.
When one abandons the right path—especially under the influence of pride, politics, or distraction—one becomes vulnerable to ruin; steady adherence to dharma and guidance from genuine spiritual authority is protective.
