स होवाच मधुच्छन्दा: सार्धं पञ्चाशता तत: । यन्नो भवान् सञ्जानीते तस्मिंस्तिष्ठामहे वयम् ॥ ३४ ॥
sa hovāca madhucchandāḥ sārdhaṁ pañcāśatā tataḥ yan no bhavān sañjānīte tasmiṁs tiṣṭhāmahe vayam
年長の者たちが呪われた後、マドゥチャンダーは年少の五十人とともに父のもとへ赴き言った。「父上、あなたが定められる取り決めのまま、私たちは従い留まります。」
