The Disappearance of the Yadu Dynasty and Lord Kṛṣṇa’s Departure
evaṁ naṣṭeṣu sarveṣu kuleṣu sveṣu keśavaḥ avatārito bhuvo bhāra iti mene ’vaśeṣitaḥ
This verse states that after the destruction of His own Yadu clans, Lord Keśava understood the earth’s burden—His purpose for descending—had been completely removed.
In the narrative of Canto 11, the Yadus’ disappearance marks the completion of the Lord’s earthly mission; once the burden was relieved, the Lord arranged the conclusion of His manifest pastimes.
It teaches trust in divine timing: duties and roles have a beginning and an end, and a devotee learns to see life’s changes through the lens of the Lord’s higher purpose.
