Vibhūti-yoga in the Bhāgavata: The Lord’s Manifest Opulences and the Discipline of Control

tejaḥ śrīḥ kīrtir aiśvaryaṁ hrīs tyāgaḥ saubhagaṁ bhagaḥ vīryaṁ titikṣā vijñānaṁ yatra yatra sa me ’ṁśakaḥ
力、美、名声、富貴、慎み、放棄、心の歓び、幸運、勇気、忍耐、霊的知識がどこにあろうとも、それらはすべて我が威徳の展開にほかならない。
Although the Lord stated in the previous verse that His opulences are innumerable, the Lord here gives a specific resume and demonstration of His opulences.
This verse explains that wherever qualities such as splendor, prosperity, fame, sovereignty, humility, renunciation, strength, tolerance, and realized knowledge are found, they indicate a partial manifestation of the Supreme Lord.
In the Uddhava-gītā section, Kṛṣṇa instructs Uddhava on how to perceive the Lord’s presence in the world—by recognizing divine excellences as reflections of His vibhūtis (manifested opulences).
Cultivate and honor qualities like humility, generosity, tolerance, and true wisdom, and learn to see extraordinary virtue and excellence as reminders of the Divine rather than as causes for pride or envy.
