Arjuna Marries Subhadrā; Kṛṣṇa Honors Two Devotees in Mithilā (Śrutadeva and Bahulāśva)
तदम्भसा महाभाग आत्मानं सगृहान्वयम् । स्नापयां चक्र उद्धर्षो लब्धसर्वमनोरथ: ॥ ४० ॥
tad-ambhasā mahā-bhāga ātmānaṁ sa-gṛhānvayam snāpayāṁ cakra uddharṣo labdha-sarva-manorathaḥ
その足を洗った水で、徳高いシュルタデーヴァは自分自身と家と家族をたっぷりと清めた。歓喜に満ち、すべての願いが成就したと感じた。
This verse shows that water connected with the Lord’s devotees and pastimes is taken as sanctifying; Uddhava bathes himself and his whole household with it as an act of purification and devotion.
Because meeting and serving Śrī Kṛṣṇa and being connected to His sacred presence is portrayed as the highest attainment, leaving no material or spiritual longing unmet.
Keep a devotional standard of purity—associate with devotees, honor sacred practices (like tīrtha, prasāda, and remembrance of Kṛṣṇa), and extend spiritual benefit to one’s family, not only oneself.
