तमभ्यषिञ्चन् विधिवदक्तमभ्यक्तमृत्विज: । पत्नीभिरष्टादशभि: सोमराजमिवोडुभि: ॥ ४७ ॥

Transliteration

tam abhyaṣiñcan vidhi-vad aktam abhyaktam ṛtvijaḥ patnībhir aṣṭā-daśabhiḥ soma-rājam ivoḍubhiḥ

Translation

ヴァスデーヴァの目は黒い化粧で飾られ、身体には新しいバターが塗られた。ついで祭官たちは聖典の規定どおり、聖水を注いで彼と十八人の妃を灌頂し、入門の儀を行った。妃たちに囲まれた彼は、星々に囲まれた月王のように輝いた。
