This verse says Kṛṣṇa is so captivating that merely hearing of His arrival makes people drop all engagements and run to see Him—He is described as the very ‘drink’ for the eyes.
Because Kṛṣṇa had arrived in the city; overwhelmed by eagerness to behold Him, they immediately went to the king’s road where His procession would pass.
Prioritize genuine spiritual “darshan” by making time for hearing and seeing Kṛṣṇa—through śāstra, kīrtana, and deity/holy association—even when daily duties compete for attention.
