बध्यमानं हतारातिं पाशैर्वारुणमानुषै: । वारयामास गोविन्दस्तेन कार्यचिकीर्षया ॥ ३१ ॥

Transliteration

badhyamānaṁ hatārātiṁ pāśair vāruṇa-mānuṣaiḥ vārayām āsa govindas tena kārya-cikīrṣayā

Translation

ヴァルナの神聖な縄やその他の人間の縄を使って、バララーマは多くの敵を殺したジャラーサンダを縛り始めた。しかし、主ゴーヴィンダにはジャラーサンダを通じて果たすべき目的があったため、バララーマに止めるように頼んだ。
