ウッタマシュローカなる主との親密な語らいを、誰が捨て去ることに耐えられよう。主が望まれぬように見えても、女神シュリー(ラクシュミー)は決して御胸の座を離れない。
Uttamaḥ-śloka refers to the Supreme Lord, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, who is glorified by the highest, flawless hymns—indicating His transcendental fame and supreme position.
In the mood of separation, she highlights Kṛṣṇa’s irresistible, self-sufficient glory—so powerful that even when He appears indifferent, divine fortune (Śrī) never departs from Him—intensifying the gopīs’ feelings about His captivating nature.
It teaches steadiness in bhakti: even if the Lord seems distant, His auspicious presence and grace remain; the devotee should not abandon devotional connection and remembrance.
