Veṇu-gīta-āhvāna and the Gopīs’ Appeal: The Opening of Rāsa-līlā
दुहन्त्योऽभिययु: काश्चिद् दोहं हित्वा समुत्सुका: । पयोऽधिश्रित्य संयावमनुद्वास्यापरा ययु: ॥ ५ ॥
duhantyo ’bhiyayuḥ kāścid dohaṁ hitvā samutsukāḥ payo ’dhiśritya saṁyāvam anudvāsyāparā yayuḥ
あるゴーピーたちは牛の乳を搾っていたが、クリシュナの笛を聞くや、胸を躍らせて搾乳をやめ、彼に会いに出て行った。ある者は火にかけた乳が固まりかけるのも、またある者は炉で菓子が焦げるのも顧みず、そのまま主のもとへ向かった。
