The Pracetās Meet Lord Viṣṇu—Benedictions, Pure Prayer, and the Birth of Dakṣa
cākṣuṣe tv antare prāpte prāk-sarge kāla-vidrute yaḥ sasarja prajā iṣṭāḥ sa dakṣo daiva-coditaḥ
As stated in Bhagavad-gītā (8.17) :
This verse explains that when a new Manvantara (here, Cākṣuṣa Manu’s period) begins after time has dissolved the prior creation, Prajāpatis like Dakṣa generate progeny again under divine direction.
Because the Bhagavatam presents cosmic population and administration as part of the Lord’s ordered governance—Dakṣa performs creation as an empowered agent, not independently.
Time inevitably changes and erases worldly arrangements; recognizing this helps one act responsibly (dharma) while cultivating devotion and detachment from temporary outcomes.
