ते पालयन्त: समयमसुरा: स्वकृतं नृप । तूष्णीमासन्कृतस्नेहा: स्त्रीविवादजुगुप्सया ॥ २२ ॥
te pālayantaḥ samayam asurāḥ sva-kṛtaṁ nṛpa tūṣṇīm āsan kṛta-snehāḥ strī-vivāda-jugupsayā
王よ、阿修羅たちは「この女が正しかろうと不正であろうと、なすことを受け入れる」と約した。ゆえにその約束を守り、また女と争うことを忌み嫌って、彼らは沈黙した。
