Prelude to Vāmana
आयु: परं वपुरभीष्टमतुल्यलक्ष्मी- र्द्योभूरसा: सकलयोगगुणास्त्रिवर्ग: । ज्ञानं च केवलमनन्त भवन्ति तुष्टात् त्वत्तो नृणां किमु सपत्नजयादिराशी: ॥ १० ॥
āyuḥ paraṁ vapur abhīṣṭam atulya-lakṣmīr dyo-bhū-rasāḥ sakala-yoga-guṇās tri-vargaḥ jñānaṁ ca kevalam ananta bhavanti tuṣṭāt tvatto nṛṇāṁ kim u sapatna-jayādir āśīḥ
無限なる主よ、あなたが満足されるなら、人は容易にブラフマーに等しい寿命、望む身体、比類なき富、天界・地上・ラサータラの享楽、三つの世俗目的、あらゆるヨーガの成就、そして純粋な智を得ます。ましてや敵に勝つなど些細な成果は言うまでもありません。
