अन्नम्। इन्द्रावरुणा सुतपाविमं सुतं सोमं पिबतं मद्यं धृतव्रतौ । युवो रथो अध्वरो देववीतये प्रति स्वसरमुप यातु पीतये
ánnam | índrā́varuṇā sutapāv imáṃ sutáṃ sómaṃ pibatáṃ mádyaṃ dhṛtavratāu | yuvó rátho adhvaró devávītaye práti svásaram úpa yātu pītáye
Food (be this). O Indra-Varuṇa, ye purifiers of the pressed, drink ye this pressed Soma, the exhilarating draught, O steadfast in ordinance. Your chariot—this sacrifice—let it come up in answer for the gods’ enjoyment, unto the Sister, for the drinking.
これを食とせよ。インドラ=ヴァルナよ、搾り出されたものを清める者たちよ、この搾りたてのソーマ(Soma)、この昂揚の飲み物を飲め、掟を堅く守る者たちよ。汝らの車――この祭儀(adhvara)――は、神々の享受のために応えて近づき、「姉妹」(Svasar)へ、飲むために進み来たれ。
