FAQs

It teaches Brahma-vidya through an identity-contemplation (aham brahma): meditating on the Self as the supreme, luminous consciousness, free from all injurious or limiting attributes.

Alongside ritual, polity, medicine, and arts, the Agni Purana also preserves Vedantic self-knowledge instructions—showing it as a compendium that includes liberation-oriented metaphysics (Brahman as supreme Light).

Repeated contemplation of the Self as Brahman is presented as purifying ignorance and dissolving identification with harm, social convention, and mental constructs—supporting detachment and liberation (moksha).
