FAQs

Ātma-vidyā: it teaches viveka (discrimination) that the gross body is a cognition-based superimposition, while the waking state is sense-linked operative consciousness (vijñāna).

Beyond rituals and dharma, it includes Vedanta-style analysis of mind, senses, and states of consciousness—showing the text’s coverage of philosophical psychology alongside practical disciplines.

By reducing identification with the body and recognizing sense-bound waking awareness, one cultivates detachment and clarity, supporting liberation-oriented practice and the purification of ego-based action.
