Chapter 185 — नवमीव्रतानि (The Observances for Navamī)
アグニ神はヴァシシュタに、ガウリー／ドゥルガーに結びつくナヴァミーの誓戒（Navamī-vrata）を説き、現世の享受（bhukti）と解脱（mukti）の双方に及ぶ成就（siddhi）を明言して約束する。儀礼は暦法の精密さに支えられ、ナヴァミーをPiṣṭakāと呼び、アーシュヴィナ月白分（Āśvina śukla）の時刻とナクシャトラ条件を吟味し、女神礼拝後に粉物を食することが示される。続いて、ドゥルガーをマヒーシャマルディニー（Mahīṣamardinī）として中心に据える護国・王権の典礼が展開され、九つの座所に現れるとも一つの祠に集約されるとも説き、定められた多臂像の観想として特定の武器・持物を具える姿が示される。真言修法は、十音節のドゥルガー護身真言、追加の句、拇指から小指に至る身のニヤーサ（nyāsa）を詳述し、秘伝性と障碍なき実修を強調する。さらに武器供養、忿怒の女神名、方位別供物（異読により血肉供を含む）へと及び、粉団で作る敵像の無力化、夜のマートリカー（Mātṛ）と猛相への礼拝、パンチャームリタ（pañcāmṛta）沐浴、バリ供、旗（dhvaja）や車行列（ratha-yātrā）などの公的祭標をもって結び、信愛・像法・ラージャダルマ（Rājadharma）志向の守護を統合する。
