火神アグニは、戦場における移動と攻撃パターンの技術的分類(bhrānta、udbhrānta、śyenapāta、ākula など)を列挙し、ついで訓練と誦習のための規範となる、名づけられた対概念や構造単位を示す。章は実践的課程を順に説く。(1) 剣と盾の法—三十二の立ち方(pratyālīḍha、ālīḍha、varāha、lulita 等)、(2) 組討・取手—回転、捕捉、上投げ下投げ、抑えと解き、(3) 罰としての縛索・投げ縄の分類と運用(vyasta-pāśa と所定の作法)、(4) cakra、śūla、tomara、gadā、parāśu、mudgara、bhindipāla、laguḍa、vajra、paṭṭiśa、そして剣に関する武器別の業(karman)—最後に yantra-karman(機械・戦具の操作)へ至る。さらに手印(hastas/mudrās)、身体に現れる徴候、護身や薬・儀礼の品々も列挙される。結語では戦場の兵站として、象と戦車の武装、鉤棒持ち・弓兵・剣兵・盾兵の配置、真言による武器の浄化加持を説き、王は征服の後、ダルマに従って国土を守護せよと締めくくる。
