lomaśa uvāca teṣāṃ tad āsīd ucitam ilvalasyaiva bhikṣaṇam | tataḥ te sahitā rājan ilvalaṃ samupādravan |
Lomaśa said: “O King (Yudhiṣṭhira), at that time it seemed proper for them to seek alms only at Ilvala’s place. Therefore, gathering together, they went swiftly to Ilvala.”
The verse highlights discernment about what is 'ucita' (proper) in a given situation: even basic acts like seeking food should be guided by appropriate conduct and collective prudence.
Lomaśa narrates to Yudhiṣṭhira that a group, deciding it was fitting to request alms from Ilvala, assembled together and quickly went to Ilvala’s place.
