There, in that royal residence, a fortunate girl was born—appearing like a flash of lightning. Radiant in her very body, with a face of auspicious beauty, the princess grew day by day in that place. The verse underscores the auspiciousness of birth and the ethical ideal that such gifts of beauty and fortune are to be protected and nurtured within righteous royal care.

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights auspicious birth and radiance as signs of good fortune, implying an ethical responsibility: those endowed with beauty and promise—especially within a royal household—should be safeguarded, properly raised, and guided by dharmic care rather than treated as mere objects of pride or desire.

A girl is described as being born in a royal residence, compared to a lightning-flash for her sudden, striking brilliance. She is portrayed as physically radiant and beautiful-faced, and she grows up there day by day, indicating her flourishing upbringing in the palace.
