शीततोयो बहुजल: पुण्यस्तात शिव: शुभ: | हृद: परमदुष्प्रापो मानुषैरकृतात्मभि:,तात! गोकर्णतीर्थमें शीतल जल भरा रहता है। उसकी जलराशि अनन्त है। वह पवित्र, कल्याणमय और शुभ है। जिनका अन्त:करण शुद्ध नहीं है, ऐसे मनुष्योंके लिये गोकर्णतीर्थ अत्यन्त दुर्लभ है

Transliteration

śītatoyo bahujalaḥ puṇyas tāta śivaḥ śubhaḥ | hṛdaḥ paramaduṣprāpo mānuṣair akṛtātmabhiḥ, tāta!

Translation

Dhaumya said: “Dear child, this sacred lake has cool water and abundant stores of it. It is holy, auspicious, and благотворный. Yet for people whose inner self is undisciplined and impure, this Gokarṇa-tīrtha is exceedingly hard to attain.”
