Then the venerable sage duly performed, according to prescribed rule, the re-establishment of the sacred fires for all the seers, following the rite as laid down in tradition. Thereafter, having satisfied the fire with the proper oblations, the gods and the sages departed in due order to their respective abodes—affirming that even after disruption, dharma is restored through correct procedure and disciplined action.

Educational Q&A

Dharma is maintained and restored through vidhivat—properly prescribed conduct. Even after interruption or disorder, sacred order is re-established by disciplined adherence to injunctions rather than improvisation or neglect.

Pulastya narrates that a venerable sage performs the formal re-establishment of the sacred fires for the assembled seers according to scriptural procedure; after the fire is duly satisfied with offerings, the gods and sages depart to their respective abodes.
