Dhaumya’s Enumeration of Eastern Tīrthas

Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana

ततो बदरिकातीर्थ स्नात्वा भरतसत्तम

tato badarikātīrthaṃ snātvā bharatasattama

Then, O best of the Bharatas, having bathed at the sacred ford of Badarikā, (one proceeds onward). The passage frames pilgrimage as a disciplined act of purification and reverence, where bodily cleansing at a tīrtha supports inner restraint and ethical renewal.
