तत्रोपस्पर्शनं कृत्वा नियतो नियताशन: । गोसहस्रफलं पुण्य प्राप्नोति भरतर्षभ
tatropsparśanaṃ kṛtvā niyato niyatāśanaḥ | gosahasraphalaṃ puṇyaṃ prāpnoti bharatarṣabha ||
“Having performed the prescribed ablution there, and living with self-restraint and regulated food, one attains a holy merit equal to the fruit of gifting a thousand cows, O bull among the Bharatas.”
घुलस्त्य उवाच
Purification at a sacred place, when joined with self-discipline and regulated living, yields great spiritual merit—symbolically equated with the renowned charity of gifting a thousand cows.
