Chapter 82
तत्राभिगम्य चेशानं गोसहस्रफलं लभेत् | महादेवप्रसादाच्च गाणपत्यं च विन्दति
tatrābhigamya ceśānaṁ gosahasraphalaṁ labhet | mahādevaprasādācca gāṇapatyaṁ ca vindati
By going there and approaching Īśāna (Śiva), one gains merit equal to the fruit of gifting a thousand cows; and by the grace of Mahādeva one also attains the status of being among Śiva’s attendants (the Gaṇas). The verse underscores pilgrimage and reverent approach to the Lord as a dharmic means to accrue spiritual merit and divine favor.

Approaching Śiva with reverence at a sacred place is presented as a powerful dharmic act: it yields great merit (likened to the famed gift of a thousand cows) and can lead to divine favor, symbolized by attaining closeness to Śiva as one of his Gaṇas.
