Nala’s Reception and Reconciliation

विमुच्य मां गत: पापस्ततो5हमिह चागत: । त्वदर्थ विपुलश्रोणि न हि मेडन्यत्‌ प्रयोजनम्‌,'सुन्दरी! पापी कलियुग मुझे छोड़कर चला गया, इसीसे मैं तुम्हारी प्राप्तिका उद्देश्य लेकर यहाँ आया हूँ। इसके सिवा, मेरे आगमनका दूसरा कोई प्रयोजन नहीं है

vimucya māṁ gataḥ pāpastato ’ham iha cāgataḥ | tvadarthaṁ vipulaśroṇi na hi me ’d anyat prayojanam ||

Bṛhadaśva said: “That sinful one, having released me, has gone away; therefore I have come here. O broad-hipped beauty, I have come for your sake alone—there is no other purpose for my coming.”
