एवं तया यथोक्तो वै गत्वा राजानमब्रवीत्‌ | ऋतुपर्ण महाराज सुदेवो ब्राह्मणस्तदा,महाराज! दमयन्तीके इस प्रकार बतानेपर सुदेव ब्राह्मणने राजा ऋतुपर्णके पास जाकर वही बात कही

Transliteration

evaṃ tayā yathokto vai gatvā rājānam abravīt | ṛtuparṇa mahārāja sudevo brāhmaṇas tadā ||

Translation

Thus instructed exactly as she had said, the brāhmaṇa Sudeva went and reported the matter to the king. Addressing him respectfully as “Mahārāja Ṛtuparṇa,” he conveyed Damayantī’s message as given—showing faithful speech and dutiful mediation in service of a righteous purpose.
