Bṛhadaśva said: “O auspicious lady, your later outcome will be wholly благотворный and fortunate. By the power of our austerity we can foresee it: soon you will behold the king of Niṣadha, Nala, again.”

The verse emphasizes reassurance grounded in tapas: disciplined spiritual power and insight can steady a distressed mind, affirming that perseverance through suffering can lead to an auspicious resolution.
Bṛhadaśva consoles Damayantī during her separation from Nala, predicting—through ascetic insight—that her future will be auspicious and that she will soon see Nala, the king of Niṣadha.
