मयैते निहता:ः सर्वे भ्रातरस्ते महौजस: । यक्षने कहा--तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। मैं जलचर पक्षी नहीं हूँ, यक्ष हूँ। तुम्हारे ये सभी महान्‌ तेजस्वी भाई मेरे द्वारा ही मारे गये हैं

Transliteration

yakṣa uvāca | mayā ete nihatāḥ sarve bhrātaras te mahaujasaḥ |

Translation

The Yaksha said: “All these brothers of yours, mighty in strength and splendor, have been slain by me.” In the moral frame of the episode, this declaration is not mere threat but a disclosure meant to awaken responsibility: life is not reclaimed by force, but through truthfulness, self-restraint, and right understanding (dharma) in the trial that follows.
