वैशम्पायन उवाच
Respectful service and honor must be met with one’s own ethical conduct; lasting harmony and another’s goodwill are secured not merely by receiving service, but by maintaining śīla (virtue) and vṛtta (right behavior).
Vaiśampāyana reassures an addressee that a woman will attend and honor him without disdain, and that through his own virtuous conduct he will win her satisfaction and favorable regard.
