Ajñātavāsa-saṅkalpaḥ — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Resolve and Dhaumya’s Exempla on Concealment

विश्रान्तोडसि महाभाग विनिद्रश्न नृपात्मज । यदि शकक्‍्यं समुन्तिष्ठ विगाढां पश्य शर्वरीम्‌,महाभाग! आपने विश्राम कर लिया। राजकुमार! अब आपकी नींद भी टूट चुकी है। यदि शक्ति हो तो उठिये; देखिये, प्रगाढ़ अन्धकारसे युक्त रात्रि हो गयी है

viśrānto 'si mahābhāga vinidrāś ca nṛpātmaja | yadi śakyaṃ samuttiṣṭha vigāḍhāṃ paśya śarvarīm ||

Yama said: “O fortunate prince, you have rested, and your sleep has also passed. If you are able, rise now and look—night has grown deep and densely dark.”
