वृत: कोटिसहस्रेण वानराणां तरस्विनाम्‌ । श्वशुरो वालिन: श्रीमान्‌ सुषेणो राममभ्ययात्‌,सबसे पहले वालीके श्वशुर श्रीमान्‌ सुषेण श्रीरामचन्द्रजीकी सेवामें उपस्थित हुए। उनके साथ वेगशाली वानरोंकी सहस्र कोटि (दस अरब) सेना थी

vṛtaḥ koṭisahasreṇa vānarāṇāṃ tarasvinām | śvaśuro vālinaḥ śrīmān suṣeṇo rāmam abhyayāt ||

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Surrounded by a thousand crores of swift and powerful monkeys, the illustrious Suṣeṇa—Vālin’s father-in-law—came forward to Rāma.
